This is the English section of the website. Below you can find the most important information you need to know if you want to play badminton at amor.

First of all if you want to get a taste of our wonderfull sport you are free to pass by during our training hours. We play at the sporting centre located at the Zernike complex. Within the sporting centre there is a hall called the Struikhal and that’s the place to be! Here is our schedule:

Tuesday:

18:00-20:00        Training for teams 1 to 5

20:00-21:15        Training for our recreative players

21:15-22:45        Training for teams 6 to 9

22:45-23:00        Time to play some matches

Friday:

18:00-19:30        Training for teams 1 to 5 and other players who are interested

Secondly after you have tasted the wonderfulness of this sport, you off course want to join as soon as possible. And this is the way to do it. Click this link, it will open up the subscription form for you. Fill it in and give it to someone of the board. They can usually be identified by their sweaters with ‘bestuur’ on them. Though we would love to see everyone being able to join freely, unfortunately this is not possible. To be able to play at AMOR you need to have an ACLO-card which you can buy at the desk at the sporting centre. Furthermore you have to pay a membership-fee to play at AMOR. Here are the categories.

Feather competition                     95,-

Because you probably have a foreign bank account we would like to see the payment in cash, to avoid any problems that might occur. This can also be done at a member of the board, he will then give you a receipt as evidence of your payment.

Thirdly AMOR is not all about badminton, we organize numerous events which have nothing to do with badminton. Every first Wednesday of the month we have a drink at café Tante Truus, located at Blekerstraat 21. Furthermore we have our own club championships, the so called Schier-weekend, the Christmas dinner etc. So there is plenty room for social talks at AMOR.

Fourthly unfortunately, there is as we say it in Dutch,  een tijd van komen en een tijd van gaan. We off course hate to see you go, but if nothing else is possible.
